People's lives are like plays.
Sometimes people play the role of an emperor and enjoy splendor and riches.
Sometimes people play the role of a beggar and suffer difficulties and hardships.
When playing the emperor, one does not know the suffering of the beggar.
When playing the beggar, one does not know the joys of the emperor.
In the blink of an eye, these states of tragedy and joy become nothing more than dreams.
Do we know how heavy our own karma is?
Do we know how deep our virtue is?
If we do not know, we are ignorant.
Ignorance is the basis of birth and death.
If we can eliminate ignorance,
we will not revolve in the six paths of suffering.
