贫。Poverty

『有得真富贵，无德真清贫』,
一般人以为金银珠宝才是富贵，
其实不是，这是外在的财富，
随时都会被人抢去。

古德说：“富润屋，德润身。”人无道，就是真正的贫穷。
这个『贫』字，是由『贪』字演变出来的，
因为贪得无厌的结果贫穷。

One with virtue is truly rich,
One without the Way is truly poor.

Most people believe that silver,
gold and precious gems represent wealth.
Actually they do not.
These are just external trappings of wealth,
which can be taken away at any time.

The ancients said,
"Wealth benefits one's home;
virtue benefits ones's body."

Those without the Way are truly poor.
The Chinese character for poor (pin),
is derived from the Chinese character for greedy (tan).
That's because when you are too greedy, you become poor.
